With the Nigeria Football Federation seemingly being handicapped to take any decisive action on out-of-contract Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi, former Super Eagles striker Jonathan Akpoborie has reacted to the development, saying the NFF may have been the reason for their own problems.

Akpoborie says he doesn’t feel sorry for the NFF, believing the way they came into office may have contributed to them being handicapped as it seems, adding they will have to deal with the problems.

More than 100 people were killed in multiple bomb attacks at the Central Mosque in Kano
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned, in the strongest terms possible, Friday's senseless attack on innocent worshipers at a mosque in Kano, saying terrorism will never prevail no matter how long it takes.

In a statement issued in Lagos on Saturday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said the attack has again confirmed what it (APC) has always believed: That terrorism is an attack on our nationhood and the way we live.

''Every attack against innocent people, including women and children, or those who are performing or pursuing their commitment to their God or faith, is a cowardly and senseless victimization and exploitation of vulnerability.

''The fabric and character of our people, whether in Kano or anywhere else across the nation, are stronger than this attack on our collective humanity. Our resolve as a nation will always overcome evil and any assault on how we live and practice our respective faith.

Senator Alkali Abdulkadir Jajere - Yobe South (Senatorial District)

Senator Alkali Jajere representing Yobe South Senatorial District has said that there was no auspicious time to commence the impeachment proceedings of President Goodluck Jonathan than now before the insurgents would wipe out his constituents from the surface earth.

Already, a source among the Senators championing the Jonathan-must-go crusade yesterday hinted that the members would meet today in an undisclosed venue to perfect their plans on when to present the impeachment notice on the floor of the senate.

Senator Jajere who is said to be among the arrow-heads of the impeachment alleged that President Jonathan had committed many impeachable offences as he had allegedly breached the constitution of the country severally.

According to him, the poor handling of the insurgency in the three states of North East of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe especially his constituency by the Jonathan’s administration despite huge sums of money being voted for the military, was deliberate.

He said, “Are we going to wait and continue to tolerate a leader who, cannot stop the daily physical and psychological torture of my constituents. The insurgency situation is threatening the corporate existence of Nigeria and the earlier we act, the better. ”
